About Thinking Futures

We believe the most reliable way to predict the future is to create it.

Thinking Futures is an independent careers and education guidance organisation supporting young people to make informed decisions about their future.

Our work focuses on helping students develop self-awareness, understand opportunities within the global labour market, and make thoughtful decisions about education and career pathways.

Through structured career-related learning, research and personalised guidance, we help young people build the knowledge, confidence and perspective needed to navigate an increasingly complex world of work.

Professional Expertise

Our careers advice and guidance is underpinned by the highest professional qualifications within the sector, including the Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development - widely recognised as the industry’s gold standard for practitioners delivering professional careers information, advice and guidance.

Our team also bring extensive experience across education, training and youth development, enabling us to support young people not only in making career decisions, but in developing the wider skills, aspirations and perspective that shape a successful future.

Confidence: individuals who are knowledgeable, skilled, independent and accountable for their own decisions.

Motivation: individuals who plan for success and work toward their potential with determination.

Aspiration: individuals who hold high expectations for themselves and are committed to continual growth and improvement.

Our Origins

Thinking Futures grew from the work of Miss Sarah, a platform dedicated to supporting young people through education, learning and personal development.

While MissSarah focuses on educational resources and mentoring, Thinking Futures brings together like-minded individuals who provide professional careers guidance and structured career development programmes designed to support young people and families navigating important education and career decisions.

Together, these initiatives share the same core philosophy: helping young people develop the confidence, knowledge and perspective needed to shape their own futures.
